I decided to write a blog. The pieces of my life and the lessons I learn need to be in one place. I am inspired by my daughter, Rachel Lee of PortmantauBlog.com. She is writing a blog on art and life, and I realized that I needed somewhere to share. (I don’t want to leave out my other daughter, Kelly Gibson, who co-authors the blog with Rachel). 🙂
I am a woman, a wife, a mom, a business person, a real estate agent, and a geek. I am 55 years old as I write this and the youngest of my five daughters is graduating high school in six months. She is home schooled, as were all my children, but she is the last one. It is the end of an era for me and the beginning of a new chapter. So, I prepare. Right now, I think I know my destination, but I am confused as to which path to take.
I am sure other people are often confused in this way and sometimes just end up letting life pull you along. I reject that. The past year, I have focused on getting closer to God, to learn to trust Him more and be tuned in to receive guidance from Him. It has paid off and I feel more focused on finding the right path. I just don’t wholy know what that path is yet. But I have hope.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11″
